The Königin-Luise route is some 220 kilometres long and follows in the footsteps of the Prussian Queen Luise who died in 1810. The route starts in Hohenzieritz near Neustrelitz in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where she died, and finishes in Paretz near Ketzin in the Havelland region. The southern part of the route takes you from the burial site in Charlottenburg Palace Park via the Pfaueninsel and the Luisen Temple to Paretz Palace, once the summer residence of Queen Luise and her husband Frederick William III.
