From Rheinsberg to Ribbeck - Fontane’s Magic Castle and the Dream of Flying: Today, Fontane would be a travel blogger. His stories were about the people who lived, loved and suffered in Brandenburg. The Historic Town Centres Cycle Route 2 takes you around his birth town of Neuruppin and offers inspiring encounters. There is a prince called Frederick who set up the Court of the Muses at Rheinsberg Palace. There is the Dutch princess who dreamed of her homeland in Oranienburg.

There are the noble horses which have been bred in Neustadt (Dosse) for decades. And then there is also the aviation pioneer Otto Lilienthal, and the legendary Herr Ribbeck auf Ribbeck im Havelland. Marauding knights and gruesome battles are also part of the history of Dosse, Havel and Rhin. Stage maps and town maps help you find your way around.
