Start your tour in the waterside town of Fürstenberg/Havel, which rightly bears this name: The town is on three islands surrounded by branches of the River Havel. More than half of the town area consists of water. In the nearby recreational area of Himmelpfort, Santa awaits you! If he is not there in person, you can visit his grotto and post your letter to Santa. Following the course of the river, you will discover lots of circular lakes in Mildenberg. For more than 100 years, clay was extracted here for nearby Berlin. The banks of the former clay pit have since become overgrown with reed and the many brickworks have closed. Ziegeleipark Mildenberg Brickworks Park tells the story of clay extraction and brick production back then. In Zehdenick, the monastery ruins await your visit. Follow the River Havel further to Oranienburg and wave to the many houseboat skippers on your Havel tour. Princes and Electors resided in Oranienburg and the cycle path leads right past Oranienburg Palace, the most important Baroque castle in Mark Brandenburg.
