Attached to Kunsterspring Zoo, the restaurant with the fitting name of Waldgaststätte Eichkater (“Eichkater” means “squirrel”) is located between the waterfowl enclosure and the Hungarian woolly pigs in the entrance area of the park. You can watch the ferrets being fed when you’ve finished your own meal.
Snacks and a wide range of cakes are available along with coffee, tea and cold drinks on a self-service basis. Under tall coniferous trees, the inviting conservatory with a view of the zoo can accommodate ten guests, while the spacious outdoor area is suitable for over 50 people. There is a wheelchair-friendly entrance as well as parking spaces and nappy-changing tables. Public coin-operated toilets are available for use.
Parties can be organised, too: whether kids’ birthdays, family get-togethers or group events for daycare centres or school classes – there is plenty of space.
