In 1772, the royal forest administration had the forester’s lodge built in the independent municipality on the eastern boundary of the town. It housed the “Königliche Oberförsterei zu Oranienburg” (Royal Forester’s Office of Oranienburg), comprising residential and service rooms. At the front of the two-storey building, which is built in Frederician Rococo style, a protruding central avant-corps is visible at the entrance door. Above it there is an embedded relief strip depicting a lying stag bearing the letters “KFH” (“Königliches Forsthaus” – Royal Forester’s Lodge) with the year of construction between its antlers – 1772.
