Here in Menz you will once again be surprised at how many beautiful spots Brandenburg has to offer. This small town between Rheinsberg, Fürstenberg and Gransee is situated on Lake Roofensee, whose clear waters shimmer blue and turquoise in the sunshine.

The bathing area has a lawn for sunbathing, rubbish bins and a toilet cabin – everything you need for a nice day at the lido. There are plenty of shady spots due to the high trees.
It isn’t so easy to find your way to the bathing area: three unmarked paths (Seestrasse, Wiesenweg and Strandweg) lead from the village down to the lake.
There is also a small natural campsite on the eastern shore, so campers can benefit ideally from the quiet, idyllic atmosphere here.
The best way to get to Menz is by train, followed by a bike ride from Fürstenberg (approximately 15 kilometres) or Rheinsberg (approximately 12 kilometres).
