Liebenthal domestic zoo and wild horse enclosure is located on the edge of Schorfheide in a wooded area. It has historical, protected breeds such as donkeys, sheep, goats and rabbits, some of which are in petting enclosures for children. Part of the domestic zoo forms the Liebenthal partial nature reserve with Przewalski’s horses, mouflons and fallow deer.

Enjoy a pleasant outing, take a walk in the beautiful natural surroundings and observe wild and domestic animals in spacious outdoor enclosures – including wild Przewalski’s horses, Liebenthal horses and various breeds of domestic animal that are under threat of extinction.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
Our snack bar is open every day: at the weekends we serve delicious home-made tray-bake cakes from our own wood-fired oven. We close on Mondays.
